Mark was really informative and supportive with all of us regardless of any prior experience or not on this afternoon. A great selection of weapons on hand which made the variety an added bonus to trying a range session. Good fun experience.

"Brilliant Stag Do Experience" on 14/04/2026

We had a brilliant stag do experience at Oxford Shooting Academy with my brother, my dad and my future father-in-law. We went for the 400-shot package and had a great day from start to finish.

Mark was really helpful with getting everything set up and choosing the right rifles for us. We were also able to bring personalised targets, although I did manage to accidentally shoot the bride-to-be target!

One of our group had some mobility and vision difficulties, and Mark was incredibly patient and supportive, making sure everyone was comfortable and able to get involved and enjoy the experience.

To top it all off, Mark even made us a laser-etched emblem as a good luck gift for the wedding, which was incredibly thoughtful and a lovely surprise.

Everyone had a fantastic time, the whole session was really well organised, and we’d definitely come back again. Highly recommend!

We very much enjoyed our session with Mark at the range. He is very knowledgeable and a great host. Mark provided us with a wide range of guns to try and gave us pointers to get the best out of them. Mark also provided drinks and snacks which was a nice bonus.

We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and got to try some classic rifles, including an Uzi and AK47.

Mark was brilliant. He was very friendly and welcoming, and treated you like one of his mates. He was very thorough and knowledgeable.

The snacks and drinks were a nice touch too.
I can't fault anything.

5 of us went for a stag do. Had a standard ammo package along with a group competition. Would recommend whole heartedly. Absolute 10/10 experience.

I had some custom requirements for the session which I booked on late notice and Mark was more than happy to accommodate.

Mark was knowledgeable, gave great instructions and most importantly was really patient. With a lot of other experiences and training you have a feeling they are rushing you or not wanting to be there. I got none of this from Mark. He slowed things down, explained everything clearly and took the time to best help me.

Two other major things of note, [1] Mark had a great balance between safety and fun. This is a real hard balance when firearms are involved but Mark made the session really fun while never putting safety at risk. [2] The wide options for weapons, I cannot wait to try more. Both made my session fly by.

Overall I couldn't be more happy with the session I had with Mark. I am already trying to find a reason to get back down south and have another session. Its a shame I can only give a 10/10.
